Summary:
We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support its General Cardiology outpatient clinic in Seattle WA. This is a 13-week contract with the potential for permanent hire. Candidates must be local or willing to permanently relocate to be considered. The role involves both clinical and administrative duties including chart prep telephone triage and authorization forms. Travel to nearby satellite clinics (Edmonds Ballard Redmond Bellevue) may be required.

Perform rooming of patients and take vitals including blood pressure pulse respirations temperature and oxygen saturation

Conduct 12-Lead ECGs height/weight checks and basic clinical tasks

Support chart preparation telephone triage medication refills and patient calls

Handle administrative duties such as authorization forms insurance verification and pharmacy coordination

Work closely with the cardiology care team to support daily clinic operations

May float between clinics within scope of skillset

Maintain accurate documentation using Epic

Must have reliable personal transportation (public transit not accepted due to travel to multiple locations)

Open to relocating to Seattle and converting to permanent hire if successful

No additional scheduling restrictions; must be fully available Monday Friday

Comfortable with both clinical and administrative MA duties

Candidate statement must confirm willingness for permanent hire consideration (for non-locals)
Education:
-
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Experience:
-
Minimum 6 months of recent Medical Assistant experience

Cardiology clinic experience preferred but candidates with strong primary care experience will be considered
License:

BLS required
-
Active MA-C preferred; MA-R accepted if necessary

No pending licenses accepted
Skills:

Clinical: Vital signs 12-lead ECGs pulse oximetry rooming patients

Administrative: Chart prep telephone triage authorization forms insurance verification medication refill management

Systems: Epic (required)

Strong multitasking communication and customer service skills
