Job Description
This role is for a Medical Assistant in an outpatient primary care clinic specializing in geriatric care. The Medical Assistant will provide standard clinical support to two clinicians working within their scope of practice to assist with patient care and minimize hospital admissions. The position is a 13-week contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role.
- Performing standard Medical Assistant duties.
- Supporting a team-based value-based care model.
- Working to minimize hospital admissions and emergency department utilization.
- Performing routine administrative tasks.
- Utilizing electronic health records (EPIC preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- No on-call requirements.
- No weekend work.
- Position is in an outpatient primary care clinic focused on geriatric patients.
- 8-hour shifts 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
