Job Summary:
This Anesthesia Technician position requires a minimum of two years of experience and involves providing support during surgical procedures. Responsibilities include operating Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) equipment assisting with patient care and adhering to a rotating on-call schedule that includes weeknights and weekends. The role necessitates proficiency in various procedures and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Location: Portland Oregon United States
Responsibilities:
- Operating POCT equipment (ABGs CBGs ACTs and cell salvage).
- Assisting the anesthesia team during surgical procedures.
- Performing patient care tasks as assigned.
- Adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Participating in on-call rotation.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
- Proficiency in operating POCT equipment (ABGs CBGs ACTs).
- Ability to learn and operate cell salvage equipment.
- Current certification/licensure as required by the state.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with a variety of anesthesia equipment and techniques.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities include one weeknight per week (9 PM - 6 AM) and one weekend every five weekends (7 PM - 7 AM).
- Block scheduling is required.
- 1:1 patient ratio.
- 48-hour shifts are not approved.
