Job Description

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst 3 position within the Office of Information Technologys PMO requires a professional capable of working with various state departments in Maine based on project needs. The core responsibilities include conducting detailed business requirements analysis documenting processes and possibly performing user acceptance testing. This role involves working with the Project Manager to establish a clear project pathway and develop strategies for risk mitigation. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with various teams to define business requirements that align with the projects objectives.
Location: Augusta Maine United States
Responsibilities:

- Conducting detailed business requirements analysis.
- Documenting processes and possibly performing user acceptance testing.
- Working with the Project Manager to establish a clear project pathway and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Conducting Gap Analysis by designing current-state and future-state business process workflows.
- Executing business requirements gathering workshops to identify opportunities for process improvement pinpoint process bottlenecks and eliminate redundancies.
- Developing comprehensive functional and non-functional business requirements for solution planning.
- Conducting thorough investigations and documentation of clearly defined business rules as part of process mapping activities.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Highly proficient in business process modeling and gap analysis.
- Proficient with all Office 365 products specifically Excel and Visio.
- Able to work independently and autonomously on assigned deliverables utilizing time management and prioritization skills.
- Experience with state government non-profit.
- UAT & Documentation
- Bachelors Degree
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Knowledge of government structure.
- Understands the difference between a business functional requirement and a business non-functional requirement.
- Capable of serving as a mediator between business users and technical users on assigned projects.
- Able to leverage negotiating skills without direct authority.
- Experience in leading workshops for business requirements gap analysis.
- Experience in creating current-state and future-state process workflows.
- Experience in creating and maintaining dashboards using a tool such as Power BI.
- Understands business requirements gathering best practice methodologies.
- Experience in creating and designing a Business Requirements Document
Special Considerations:

- Candidates must have a current screenshot picture uploaded on their profile within 24 hours of interview confirmation.
- Vendors MUST be present at the beginning of the interview to validate their candidate.
- eVerify must be completed & uploaded no later than the contractors third day of contract.
