Job Title : VMware Virtualization Engineer (Hyper-V VMs)
Job Type : C2C / W2
Experience : 8-15 Years
Location : San Jose California (On-Site)
Responsibilities:

Hands-on experience in managing VMware ESXi vCenter and Hyper-V environments.

Strong knowledge of virtual clustering snapshots vMotion DPM and HA/DRS.

Experience with Windows Server and Linux OS running in virtualized environments.

Familiarity with vSAN SCVMM and PowerShell scripting or VMware PowerCLI.
-
Expertise in performance tuning capacity planning and virtual networking.
-
Experience with cloud-based virtualization (e.g. VMware Cloud on AWS or Azure Stack).
-
Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible Terraform etc.).
-
Experience working with monitoring tools (vRealize SolarWinds etc.).
-
Good understanding of security and compliance in virtual infrastructure.
-
Certifications like VMware VCP Microsoft MCSA/MCSE or Azure Administrator Associate.

Administer and manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.

Deploy configure and maintain virtual machines (VMs) and resource clusters.
-
Manage VM lifecycle including provisioning snapshots backups migrations and decommissioning.

Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of virtualized environments.

Troubleshoot virtualization-related issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents.

Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies for virtual infrastructure.

Document processes configurations and best practices.
Qualifications:

Bachelors in engineering computer science or any other related field.
