Job Description

Technical Support Engineer Global Technology Leader (Hybrid Heredia Costa Rica)

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to support our client a global technology leader in AI-powered data security and management. This role will be responsible for delivering world-class technical assistance to global customers.

This is a 6 month contract (extension or conversion to FTE possible 40-hour-per-week role. Must work 2 days per week onsite at the clients office in Heredia.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide frontline technical support to customers partners and internal teams for data protection backup recovery and storage solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to system performance configuration networking and software defects via phone email and remote sessions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management teams to identify and resolve product-related issues.
  • Serve as a technical advocate for customers managing cases from creation to resolution while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Document troubleshooting steps solutions and best practices in the knowledge base.
  • Participate in on-call rotations or shift schedules as needed to provide 24x7 coverage.
  • Stay current on company products and continuously upgrade your technical skill set.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a technical support system administration or customer-facing engineering role in a technology company
  • Strong understanding of one or more of the following: storage systems data backup/recovery virtualization (VMware Hyper-V) networking or Linux/UNIX environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting via remote tools and familiarity with CRM/ticketing systems (e.g. Salesforce ServiceNow).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field
