Job Description
NX CAD CONSULTANT
Location: Novi MI
Experienced CAD Manager to oversee and manage our critical design data infrastructure using NX and Team center systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining top-level assemblies across multiple programs ensuring data integrity and establishing efficient workflows that support our engineering teams success.
Assembly Management
- Manage and maintain NX top-level assemblies for all active programs
- Ensure proper assembly structure organization and hierarchy across product lines
- Coordinate assembly updates and revisions to maintain design intent and functionality
- Establish and enforce assembly naming conventions and organizational standards
Teamcenter Administration
- Oversee Teamcenter data management for all program assemblies
- Maintain proper workflow processes for design releases and approvals
- Ensure data security and access controls are properly implemented
- Monitor system performance and coordinate with IT for optimization
Parts and Release Management
- Supervise proper part release procedures and approval workflows
- Ensure all parts meet release criteria before approval
- Maintain accurate part numbering systems and revision control
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve release issues and bottlenecks
Geometry and Data Integrity
- Maintain current and accurate final geometries across all assemblies
- Implement quality control processes to prevent data corruption or loss
- Establish backup and recovery procedures for critical design data
- Monitor and resolve geometry conflicts or inconsistencies
Process Improvement
- Develop and implement CAD standards and best practices
- Create documentation and training materials for team members
- Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and efficiency gains
- Stay current with NX and Teamcenter updates and new features
