Job Description

Title: Test Data Engineer

Location: Wilmington DE/Plano TX

Duration: Contract

Client: Mphasis

Job Description:

1. Data Analysis & Profiling

Understanding data structures relationships and dependencies.

Using tools to analyze data quality completeness and relevance.

Identifying sensitive data and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR HIPAA).

2. Data Masking & Obfuscation

Applying techniques to anonymize or pseudonymize sensitive data.

Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

Tools: Informatica TDM IBM Optim Delphix CA TDM.

3. Data Subsetting & Extraction

Creating smaller representative datasets from production.

Ensuring referential integrity across systems.

Automating extraction processes for repeatability.

4. Synthetic Data Generation

Generating realistic test data when production data is unavailable or unsuitable.

Using rule-based or AI-driven data generation tools.

Supporting edge cases and negative testing scenarios.

5. Environment & Data Provisioning

Coordinating with DevOps to provision test environments with required data.

Automating data refresh and rollback processes.

Managing versioning and consistency across test cycles.

6. Tool Proficiency

Hands-on experience with TDM tools like:

Informatica TDM

Delphix

CA Test Data Manager

IBM InfoSphere Optim

SQL Python Shell scripting for custom data handling
