Financial Analyst
Job Summary
The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in guiding strategic decisions by analyzing financial data forecasting trends and delivering actionable insights. This position supports budgeting investment planning and performance evaluation across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze historical and current financial data to assess company performance
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and decision-making
- Prepare reports for leadership reviews including variance analysis and trend identification
- Evaluate capital expenditures depreciation and ROI for proposed projects
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support fundraising efforts with financial documentation and projections
- Identify process improvements and automate reporting tools using Excel or BI platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Finance Economics Accounting or related field
- Proven experience in financial analysis forecasting and modeling
- Proficiency in Excel financial software and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate finance principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- CFA or CPA certification is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Strategic thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into business insights
- Experience with ERP systems and financial planning software
- Familiarity with industry-specific financial metrics and benchmarks
