Job Description
Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer
Location: Huntington West Virginia
Duration: Full Time
Job Description:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for assigned manufacturing processes. Through input from the customer plant staff and production employees the Manufacturing Engineer will review process controls emphasize continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing methodology and Kaizen activities participate in the development of cell layouts set up reduction (SMED) lead time reduction and improve productivity through waste reduction. In addition the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for achieving product target cost improved efficiency and identifying possible production problems for existing products within their scope of accountability.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree - required (Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or Manufacturing Engineering Technology degree). Someone with an IE degree with relevant experience as a process engineer will also be considered.
- Chemical Engineers are not a good fit.
- Process improvement experience (efficiency waste reduction scrap reduction etc.) (Will consider experience from any manufacturing industry so process specific experience is not required. They do want hand-on mechanical engineering experience. Someone doing pure design work is not a fit.
- Manufacturing industry engineering experience.
- 3D CAD design is a plus but willing to train if they have other auto CAD. PLC a plus
- Robotics a plus
- Stable work history is needed.
- Candidate needs to be able to assimilate into the culture and team well. Sponsorships and visa candidates are not eligible.
Skills and Certifications note: bold skills and certification are required
- Mechanical Engineering degree Mechatronics degree or Manufacturing Engineering degree
- Manufacturing process engineering experience
