Job Description

The Warehouse Technician has multiple responsibilities. Working with the production team and the lab you will prepare items for shipment and unpack incoming shipments. Additionally you will perform cleaning of all areas and any other activities required to successfully meet the customers expectations. You must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on your own drive the company vehicle be capable of managing your time effectively and work both independently and as a team member.

Essential Job Duties:

• Direct all drivers to the proper areas for safe loading and unloading of equipment.
• Physically verify the number of packages accepted from delivery drivers.
• Perform inspections on all equipment received.
• Document delivery method packing material and inventory all contents of shipments received using shipping and receiving report from Shipping and Receiving SOP.
• Document and report any damaged items received to the manager in accordance with the procedure.
• Deliver inbound equipment to the proper departments or staging areas.
• Inspect and maintain customer packing materials where appropriate for use in return shipment.
• Gather waste bins and clean lunchrooms bathrooms and meeting rooms weekly.
• Review all packing lists shipping documents and notes pertaining to all deliveries and shipments to ensure the proper equipment is shipped.
• Document all damaged inbound equipment and ALL outbound shipments using photographs according to SOP.
• Build wood shipping containers for shipment of machines and large parts manufactured by Morehouse.
• Make any needed repairs to wooden containers sent by customers prior to using for return shipment.
• Make pickups and deliveries to outside vendors and suppliers using the company vehicle.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory of shipping and receiving supplies and request supplies when needed.
• Maintain clean entrance and exit areas during inclement weather to include snow and ice removal from in front of doors and walkways as needed.
• Follow the weekly cleaning schedule to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with routine maintenance around buildings such as changing lights painting and other small repairs as directed.
• Use a laser cutter to custom-cut materials.
• Potential to assist with and perform repairs on force calibration equipment.
• Operate forklift and pallet jacks.
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid and unexpired PA Drivers License and a good driving record (must be able to be enrolled in our vehicle insurance)
• Forklift Certified (Preferred)
• Previous shipping experience is a plus
• An eye for detail and a commitment to quality work
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Experience with safe operation of forklift
• Ability to work as a team and with other team members.

• Safety awareness and practice is critical
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lift heavy objects with assistance. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on your own.

Qualifications and Requirements for this position:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid and unexpired PA Drivers License and a good driving record (must be able to be enrolled in our vehicle insurance)
• Forklift Certified (Preferred)
• Previous shipping experience is a plus
• An eye for detail and a commitment to quality work
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Experience with safe operation of forklift
• Ability to work as a team and with other team members.
• Ability to learn and grow both professionally and personally.
• Safety awareness and practice is critical
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lift heavy objects with assistance. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on your own.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• The working environment is clean and in a temperature-controlled facility when indoors with outside work during portions of the day.
• Requires continual walking standing sitting climbing stooping bending kneeling reaching lifting and carrying.
• Very occasional work conducted in uncomfortable positions.
• Must be able to drive the company vehicle to drop off and pick up components.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to read small serial numbers.

Job Type: Full-time Hourly

Hours: 7:00 am 3:30 pm

Pay: $19.0 $21.0 per hour with additional profit sharing plan paid out twice a year with a catch-up payment.
