Job Description
We are seeking a bold future-focused Interior Design Director to lead our award-winning Boston interior design practice. This is more than a leadership roleits a rare opportunity to shape the next era of interior environments at one of the most innovative interdisciplinary design firms on the planet.
As a member of the studios leadership team youll partner closely with the Architecture Design Director to champion ideas that challenge convention promote sustainability and equity and elevate the human experience through design. Youll help define whats nextnot just whats now.

What Youll Lead
Design Excellence - Youll lead the creative direction of interior projectswhether standalone or integratedpushing boundaries in sustainability material health and craft. Youll ensure every detail aligns with our mission: design a better more just world.
Studio Culture - Youll shape an inclusive creative studio environment where ideas thrive. Youll recruit mentor and grow the next generation of design leaders.
Client Relationships - As a strategic partner and design advocate youll build trust with clients from day one and position our studio as a go-to for bold values-driven design.
Integrated Collaboration - Youll work hand-in-hand with architects planners consultants and researchers to develop truly interdisciplinary solutions.
Business Development - Youll lead pursuits craft narratives and represent the Boston studio in interviews and market-facing efforts.
What You Bring
- 15 years of interior design leadership across a range of project types (workplace education healthcare civic or others).
- Professional licensure (e.g. NCIDQ Architectural license).
- An inspiring design portfolio including recognized or award-winning work.
- Deep fluency in interior codes systems and standards.
- Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams from concept through delivery.
- Strong client communication negotiation and budget management skills.
- Experience in Revit Rhino Grasshopper Adobe Suite Enscape and VRay.
- Direct experience in coordinating consultants including Lighting Acoustics AV MEPFP and Structure.
Preferred Credentials
- Bachelors degree in interior design architecture or a related field.
- LEED GA required within 6 months of hire; WELL AP or Living Future Accreditation a plus.
