Job Description
The practice professor will bring extensive experience and national visibility at the intersection of energy policy and technology innovation to Penn. The position will fulfill the goal to educate and inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators in energy and sustainability science technology and policy. It will require the candidate to teach classes such as Engineering Energy Policy Sustainability Strategy and Value Creation Climate and Environmental Risk Management and climate and AI fostering interdisciplinary collaboration with the School of Arts and Sciences Wharton Business School Penn Carey Law and the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy. We expect that the candidate will play a significant role in advancing Penns academic mission and offer rich opportunities to engage across diverse academic units.
Applicants should have an advanced degree and demonstrated national visibility in energy policy technology commercialization entrepreneurship or a related field. Candidates should have a strong record of exceptional leadership in areas of relevant to energy sustainability and technology policy as well as experience in teaching mentorship or curriculum development. A background that includes significant professional experience in industry academia or related sectors is highly desirable.
