Job Description

Summary Statement

This employee is expected to function at a senior level providing support for the Delaware Judicial Branch. Responsibilities include technical support customer service maintenance administration of audio/video devices and peripherals telephony systems and correspondence/communication with other technical support staff as well as the immediate supervisor.

Preferred Qualification

Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.

  • Mid to high level A/V experience with equipment and project management.
  • Experience with telephony systems (Avaya would be a plus but not mandatory).
  • Strong customer service experience and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of laptops and personal computers.
  • Experience with Cisco VoIP phone systems.
  • Avixa CTS Audio/Video certification a plus.

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.   • Background or strong knowledge of a/v equipment.
  • Working knowledge of phone systems (small and large)
  • Project management experience.
  • Voice and data wiring experience.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  • Provide senior level help desk support to assist in resolving a/v system issues.
  • Take a lead role in a/v preventive maintenance and problem resolution.
  • Function as an agency knowledge leader in the a/v hardware/software infrastructure.
  • Have a basic knowledge and understanding of telephony. (phone systems/voicemail/PBX/centrex lines).
  • Knowledge of building infrastructure. (voice and data wiring).
  • In State travel sometimes required outside of Leonard L. Williams Justice Center.

Conditions of Hire

  • A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire.
  • Direct deposit of paychecks is required as a condition of hire.
