CHOP Tree Service is a leading provider of utility line clearance and vegetation management services. Our team is committed to delivering superior service while ensuring the highest level of safety for our employees clients and communities. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced
Safety Specialistto help lead and continuously improve our safety culture across all operations.

Position Summary:
The Safety Specialist is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the companys safety program. This role will partner closely with supervisors general foreman foremen and crews to drive safety performance conduct training perform job site audits and lead incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and enforcement of the companys safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular field safety audits and inspections to ensure company standards are met.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses provide root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Deliver safety training and onboarding for new hires and ongoing field education for crews.
  • Serve as a resource trainer and advisor to field teams on best practices in hazard recognition equipment use and job site protocols.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to ensure safe work planning and execution.
  • Perform field trainings (ex. rubber good aerial rescue roping/rigging climbing training)

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in utility line clearance tree care or vegetation management.
  • Certified Tree care Safety Professional (CTSP) OSHA 30 or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Proven leadership communication and training delivery skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to field job sites across service areas and work with field crews 75% of working day.
