Job Description

SUMMARY

Installs troubleshoots repairs and maintains a wide variety of digital analog and security electronic equipment to the component level. Ensures that district fire safety devices are functional and operating in compliance with codes laws and policies. Coordinates activities of other trade shops building engineers and subcontractors as needed.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Four (4) years experience in the maintenance and repair of digital and analog electronic systems to include fire alarm or security systems card access systems or intercom systems.

Completion of a recognized training or apprenticeship program in the field.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

Four years of Supervisory Experience

Certified Fire Alarm or Sprinkler ITM Specialist for Facility Managers.

Completion of a recognized training or apprenticeship program in assigned field to include:

  • NICET Level I Certification
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification or equivalen

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.

Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and75lb. lift test

Must hold a current Arizona Drivers license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.

Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
