Job Description

Residency in or relocation to Louisiana is preferred for all positions.
The Accounts Receivable intern will do the following:
Assist in collection of premium and claim refund receipts received daily to meet the scheduled time frame for compiling balancing encoding and endorsing of all checks for bank deposits.
Assist in performing account research to obtain current or prior payment history of premium receipts for accurate information to reconcile each account.
Assist with the Opex Mail Extractor equipment for the sorting and manual extraction of mail to expedite the processing of daily group individual premium and claim refund receipts.
Required Qualifications:
Degree program(s) / Current Status: Associates degree in Accounting Business or business-related field preferred.
Cumulative GPA: 3.0 preferred; 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA.
Other Qualifications:
The ability to comprehend document calculate visualize and analyze are required
Strong mathematical and analytical reasoning skills are required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and other applications are required.
