This healthcare position starts at $20.84 per hour and increases based on experience. The duties of the position include providing pharmaceutical care to patients by preparing storing billing and distributing IV and other medications in a safe accurate and timely manner in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and Federal and State law all under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Education equivalent to high school diploma. Must be able to pass background check mandated by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) and be accepted by the OBOP as a temporary pharmacy technician licensee as a minimum requirement.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of pharmacy principles practices standards and techniques aseptic techniques arithmetic (including simple algebra) office and pharmacy computer applications software and safe preparation of intravenous admixtures and other medications. Equivalent to a high school education and at least six (6) months pharmacy experience or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Previous hospital pharmacy experience. Preference will be given to current Oregon Board of Pharmacy Licensed individuals and those with national certification by either EXCPT or PTCB.
