Financial Controller
Multi-Unit Specialty Food & Deli Concept Dallas TX (On-Site Design District) Full-Time $100 K $110 K
Help a rapidly expanding butcher deli and po-boy brand sharpen its financial edge. With two locations open and three more slated by the end of 2026 we need a Controller who can refine our existing systems tighten controls and guide strategy as we scaleworking in-person from our collaborative Design District HQ.

What Youll Do
- Own the P&L for each store; close books monthly and deliver clear actionable reporting.
- Run payroll (hourly & salaried) and benefits; ensure compliance with federal and TX regs.
- Refine AP/AR workflows inventory controls and restaurant tech stack (POS scheduling purchasing).
- Forecast & budgetweekly cash flow quarterly reforecasts and annual operating plans.
- Coordinate with our outside CPA on tax strategy audits and entity structure as new units launch.
- Shape unit economicslabor models COGS targets margin-boosting initiatives.
- Mentor & build a small accounting support team as growth demands.
What You Bring
- 5 years as a Controller (or Assistant Controller) in restaurants/QSR/hospitalitymulti-unit required.
- Deep command of GAAP cash vs. accrual inventory and full P&L ownership.
- Hands-on with payroll platforms (ADP Paychex etc.) and restaurant systems (Restaurant365 Compeat Toast etc.).
- Proven record of optimizing and scaling accounting processes during rapid unit growth.
- Bachelors in Accounting Finance or similar; CPA/CMA a plus.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and a data-driven mindset.
- 100 % on-site availability at our Design District office; local candidates or those willing to relocate only.
