You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSupervise and support a team of drivers ensuring performance safety and compliance standards are met
Act as a main point of contact for staff contractors and public inquiries when required
Address safety concerns driver complaints and customer service issues promptly
Track and document service issues providing coaching and corrective action as necessary
Coordinate with other departments for vehicle maintenance equipment needs and safety compliance
Conduct and document accident investigations for any incidents involving company vehicles
Deliver and ensure completion of all company-required driver training including policy updates and safety protocols
Schedule and conduct driver ride-alongs on-road evaluations and a minimum of 40 Observed Behaviour Audits (OBAs) per month
Maintain accurate equipment inventories and safety supply levels
Ensure compliance with all federal provincial and company-specific safety programs
Participate in NSC (National Safety Code) compliance and follow-up tasks
Be available 24/7 for emergency support
Foster a healthy and safe work environment reporting issues promptly
Valid Commercial Drivers License with air brake endorsement (required)
23 years of supervisory experience ideally in transportation or waste management
Proven ability to conduct vehicle inspections and accident investigations
In-depth knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) and Occupational Health & Safety regulations
First Aid Certification (asset)
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Ability to work flexible hours and travel/stay overnight as needed
5 years of AZ driving experience
Mechanically inclined with the ability to recognize vehicle issues
Problem-solver with strong decision-making skills
Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond quickly to incidents
