JOB REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED)

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid Pennsylvania Drivers license
  • Ability to work a 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday schedule as well as late days (7:30am to 6:00pm) or Saturdays as assigned
  • A positive professional demeanor and the ability to explain car repair and maintenance concepts to a variety of customers in an understandable manner (i.e. the ability to translate automotive jargon)
  • Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as the high energy level needed to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated Telephone and face-to-face customer service and interactive listening skills
  • Computer skills necessary to maintain databases provide billing statements process payments etc.
  • The tact and patience necessary to interact effectively with confused or frustrated customers

JOB REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED)

  • One or more years of related experience
  • A familiarity with Ford products and related service/maintenance issues

JOB DUTIES

This position works directly with customers to ensure that they are completely satisfied with repairs and maintenance provided by Bob Ruth Ford Service Technicians. This includes warranty work inspections routine maintenance major repairs and everything in-between for both new and pre-owned cars and trucks. The Service Advisors operates as the liaison between the customer and the Technician. More specifically this typically involves:

  • Greeting customers and making them feel comfortable safe and welcome
  • Answering or returning phone calls from customers
  • Discussing the customers needs and concerns
  • Suggesting options to address those needs and concerns
  • Estimating repair time costs benefits and consequences of various alternatives etc.
  • Preparing work orders and related documentation
  • Scheduling repairs and maintenance and assigning the work to a Technician
  • Suggesting optional services and accessories and making suggestions for future maintenance
  • Coordinating shuttle services insurance or warranty benefits etc.
  • Explaining results parts and labor costs how the repairs were made issues encountered by the Technician etc.
  • Processing payment and maintaining/providing related documentation
  • Ensuring total customer satisfaction and resolving complaints or concerns
  • Performing related follow-up as necessary
  • Undergoing training and maintaining Ford certifications as needed
