Mass General Brighams Home Hospital is an innovative clinical service that helps our patients maximize their time at home. When illness develops and is significant enough to require a hospital stay Home Hospital can deliver hospital-level care in the comfort of the patients home!

Common conditions treated by Home Hospital include heart failure COPD pneumonia skin infections such as cellulitis urinary tract infections and as well as conditions if deemed safe to do so.

We are seeking a full-time Operations Coordinator to support Home Hospital onsite at Brigham and Womens Hospital.

The schedule is 40- hours weekly 10:00a-6:30p shift schedule. Flexibility to vary shift time based on staffing needs would be ideal.

Please note Home Hospital is a 7 day per week operation and delivering care days evenings weekends and holidays. There will be a rotation for weekend and holiday shifts. This role may require local travel to other Mass General Brigham sites during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).



Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the daily operational functions of the organization. This role involves coordinating various administrative and operational tasks ensuring smooth workflow and assisting with the implementation of operational procedures.



Qualifications

Under the direction of the Business Operations Manager the Operations Coordinator is an integral member of our multi-disciplinary team. Not only do they work in close collaboration with the nurses providers and managers but they also serve as the liaison between various internal groups/departments/external resources and work directly with patients and families to coordinate screening consent and enrollment into the Home Hospital Service. Operation support responsibilities include tracking referrals admissions document management communicating all aspects of the workflow status promoting an ongoing culture of collaboration and efficiency throughout the patient intake process scheduling collection of patient supplies and equipment and other tasks/projects as assigned.

This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously supporting the MGB Home Hospital Service at BWH while also functioning as part of the newer larger Mass General Brigham Home Hospital team supporting entities across our system. As foundational hires our Operations Coordinators will be helping us build this function out and define what this model will look like future-state!

High School Diploma or Equivalent required and
Associates Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teams with varied experiences and viewpoints
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and other office software.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Basic understanding of hospital operations and regulatory requirements is a plus.
