Job Description

Starting Salary Range: $98000 - $115000; position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.

As MISOs Physical Security and Safety Senior Analyst youll play a key role in protecting our people assets and operations. In this role youll assist with the coordination in the selection design and implementation of security systems technology and maintenance oversee day-to-day physical security operations and serve as a subjectmatter expert on physical security standards (e.g. CIP SOC1 NIST) ensuring compliance through audits risk analyses policies and ongoing alignment with external and internal standards. This position blends technical expertise with strong communication and organizational skills to ensure a secure and compliant environment.

As our Physical Security and Safety Analyst you will:

  • Support day-to-day physical security operations and serve as a liaison between MISO Security and third-party security vendors to ensure the safety of MISO facilities.
  • Assist with the selection design implementation and maintenance of physical security technologies including access control systems video surveillance visitor management and lock and key programs.
  • Ensure compliance with SOC 1 CIP FERC NERC and other regulatory standards; serve as a subject matter expert for security documentation; participate in crisis training exercises; and provide sound recommendations using independent judgment.
  • Assist in the implementation of physical security technologies such as access control video surveillance visitor management and lock and key systems.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support investigations participate in crisis training exercises and define and implement threat/crisis response protocols to enhance organizational security and emergency preparedness.

To be a successful Physical Security and Safety Senior Analyst we are looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Business Administration or 6 years of relevant technical experience required
  • Minimum of four years technical background & knowledge of physical security standards and systems required; eight years preferred
  • Physical security & safety management experience for a critical infrastructure organization required
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation from the American Society of Industrial Security preferred
  • Previous energy industry experience preferred

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and expertise.
