The Role
ABC News WA is looking for a skilled journalist to present the AM radio news flexible availability to backfill the PM radio news shift and the skills to backfill in reporting as required. The role will also include:
- Guiding the daily radio news team to create compelling radio journalism that attracts and engages audiences.
- Producing radio news bulletins with a mix of state regional national and international news stories.
- Presenting radio news with competence credibility and authority.

About You
You have many strings to your bow including skills and experience in audio news presentation production and newsgathering and an understanding of how to engage audiences. You will bring:
- Strong news writing and sub-editing skills.
- Strong on-air presentation skills.
- Familiarity with social media as a newsgathering and storytelling tool.
- Sophisticated communication interpersonal and teamwork skills.
