What impact youll make

As a member of the Process Industrialization team you will be an active contributor to create maintain and execute the standard in how to develop and industrialize manufacturing processes using a team-based approach. This role sits within the Process Industrialization team and will execute new manufacturing process development. The focus will be on testing and developing new or improving upon existing manufacturing process by utilizing a standard framework.

Job Description

What youll do

  • Execute manufacturing process development across CNC machining (mill turn drill grind EDM edge contour) coating applications blending and other applications as required
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy and roadmap initiatives
  • Execute hands-on development of new products and processes enabling a successful hand-off to the production team
  • Manage development iterations to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety process quality and internal customer needs
  • Strong ability to identify and eliminate waste
  • Engineering standardizing and optimizing manufacturing processes
  • Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into process development
  • Utilize kaizen activities for continuous improvement and collaborate with wider team on breakthrough initiatives

What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 4 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment
  • Ability and desire to work on site in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work off-shift or flexible schedule at times as required by project timelines

Eligibility Requirements

  • This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville SC location
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e. U.S. citizens permanent residents and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

What will make you stand out

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Machine Tool Technology
  • Demonstrated examples of developing and improving manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated examples of applying lean principles to process development
  • Demonstrated proficiency programming multiple types of CNC machines (HBM VTL
  • wEDM sEDM VMC HMC etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency programming CNC machines with NX-CAM
  • Strong familiarity with multiple machine controls including Fanuc Haas Okuma and G&L
  • Strong familiarity with Renishaw probing processes and routines
  • Knowledge of machining high temperature super alloys used in gas turbines
  • Experience using Vericut (preferred) or other CNC verification/machine simulation software
  • Knowledge of post-processor development and debugging preferably NX Post Builder or NX Post Configurator
  • Demonstrated proficiency interpreting drawing requirements and GD&T
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills with above average shop math skills in trigonometry and geometry
  • Ability to drive innovation by implementing new ideas and screening new technologies to align with business objectives
  • Ability to effectively communicate to multiple levels of the organization both verbally and through written communication
  • Ability to enact and drive change within an organization
  • Ability to productively manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Self-motivated and self-driven proven project leadership
  • Ability to accept new challenges take ownership and make decisions

Pay Transparency

For U.S. based candidates only for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements the base pay range for this position is $81800.00 - $115000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety offactors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for a10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This posting is expected to close on or after July 19 2025.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
