JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Augustine Elementary in Kitsilano is hiring a Grade 2 Teacher starting in September 2025. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year. Candidates will have a background in primary teaching and be willing and capable of working collaboratively with the teacher in our other Grade 2 class (we are a double-stream school) Education Assistants parents and their fellow teachers and staff members.
The successful candidate will assist with the extra-curricular program of the school and be involved in school life. It is an asset to have taught a Sacramental Year preferably this grade level for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion; a proficiency in technology and in particular the use of Seesaw and Google Workspace and experience using programs such as Reading and Writing Power Reading A-Z PM Benchmarks and Second Step in your teaching are also assets.

On an on-going basis we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics non-Catholics new education grads and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
