What will you be doing
As an ETL Developer youll play a key role in managing and optimising our ETL processes. Youll work with large-scale data in a batch processing environment designing robust data pipelines and warehouse architectures that power insights across the business.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Designing implementing and optimising high-performance ETL systems
- Working with diverse data sources including SQL databases and flat files
- Managing structured data and metadata efficiently
- Utilising tools for querying reporting data mining and OLAP
- Overseeing data cleansing and enrichment processes
- Designing and build scalable data pipelines
- Conducting ETL testing and validate data flows
- Developing detailed fit-for-purpose data models
- Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation
Requirements:
- 5 years of hands-on ETL development experience
- Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting in Linux/Unix environments
- Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL MonetDB T-SQL)
- Experience with Hive/PySpark
- Familiarity with SCM/CI tools like SVN Git and Jenkins
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and BI concepts
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
