Job Description
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing manufacturing and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What youll do:
- Support the development and maintenance of Archers high fidelity aircraft simulators which facilitate validation and verification activities handling quality evaluations human factor evaluations and the overall aircraft development process
- Work with internal groups to design and build tools that consolidate data from multiple sources for lab configuration and hardware integration purposes
- Design build maintain and improve existing CI/CD infrastructure to support end-to-end automation of lab software
- Work with internal groups to create test automation functionality in support of aircraft certification testing
- Design and build graphical user interfaces to control the real-time simulation environment
- Assist in the execution of test plans and test automation
What you need:
- 5 years of experience in a related field
- BS in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in Python or C
- Experience with Matlab
- Experience in developing and maintaining relational databases
- Experience developing enterprise level applications
- Experience gathering user requirements and developing design diagrams user documentations and project plans for developing software
- Experience prototyping Graphical User Interfaces based on user feedback
- Solid understanding of standard software development tools:
- Continuous integration - TeamCity / Artifactory
- Version control - Git / Bitbucket
- Issue tracking - Jira
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Bonus qualifications
- Experience developing real-time software for a Hardware-in-the-Loop aircraft simulator
- Experience building and developing for a COTS HIL platform (dSPACE NI ADI etc)
- Proficiency in the National Instruments (NI) software suite
- Solid understanding of communication standards and protocols (RS-422/485 CAN ARINC-429 AFDX Ethernet TCP/IP USB etc)
- Experience automating and executing test plans
- Familiarity with fault injection methodologies
- Proficiency in CC or other low-level languages
- Proficiency and MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with model based development using Matlab/Simulink
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with or a passion for aviation

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge skills and experience.
