Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Accountant: Accounts Receivable & Housing
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Finance
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None
QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Accounting or BA in Accounting plus 2 years experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounts Receivable
- General Ledger
- Assist with annual audits
- Property management and housing compliance
- Representative Payee financial functions
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Prepare monthly Accounts Receivable billings and record receipts.
- Track activity billings and receipts.
- Post general ledger entries adjusting entries and recurring entries.
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts.
- Assist with annual audits.
- Housing compliance reporting property management and compliance reviews for all agency-owned properties.
- Monitor existing Section 8 Voucher HAPs and complete new and transfer applications.
- Process annual recertification paperwork.
- Assist in resolving Representative Payee compliance issues.
- Assist with SSA tri-annual reviews.
- Assist with state PERM reviews.
- Perform other accounting functions as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
The following actions are performed frequently: Lifting >10 lbs. see sit stand reach handle finger (pinch-type activity) repetitive movement talk and hear.
The following actions are performed occasionally: Kneel crouch walk lift >25 lbs. push pull bend carry and balance.
The following actions are performed seldom: Lifting >50 lbs.
