Minimum Education and/or Training:
- High school diploma/GED required
Minimum Experience:
- One-year of prior experience in a security program police organization military branch or conflict counseling is required.
Licensure Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only:
- LC: DLD-TN or DLD-ARK or DLD-MISS or DLD-RESIDE. Must have a valid drivers license from the employees state of residence and be insurable by St. Judes insurance carrier.
- LSGO-TN (Licensed Security Guard/Officer-Tennessee) Must attain Licensed Unarmed Security Officer certification for the State of Tennessee within 60 days of employment.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Successfully complete a physical/health screening examination by Occupational Health which includes a drug screening; successfully meet and maintain Campus Safety and Security physical requirements.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work and officers must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time as well as stoop kneel crouch lift carry push pull climb balance walk and run. Run moderate distances and/or go up and /or down flights of steps; read interpret and understand St. Jude Childrens policies and procedures.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must maintain the ability to move about the workspace to access work surface and shelves cabinets drawers and equipment that are at below or above the work surface.

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $20.50 - $34.50 per hour for the role of Security Officer II.
