We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedManagement Accountantto join our dynamic finance team. This is a key role supporting the Group Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial reporting driving process improvements and supporting strategic decision-making across the business..
Key responsibilities
- Preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts.
- To oversee balance sheet reviews for all companies and ensure that the month end reconciliations are conducted accurately in a timely manner.
- To oversee intercompany balances settlements across all companies.
- Preparation of monthly budget monitoring statements for Business Units and financial analysis compared to budget / forecast.
- Preparation of customer profitability and job costing analysis.
- Work with operational teams to deliver business and financial improvements
- Assisting the Group Financial Controller in the preparation of budget and forecasts.
- Introduce and amend processes to improve system benefits reporting working capital management and deliver financial KPI targets.
- Assisting Group Financial Controller in the preparation of weekly cash flow forecast and ensure that sufficient information is provided for weekly payment runs.
- Management of weekly payment runs for all companies.
- Delivery of year end audit schedules for statutory audit and liaison with auditors.
- Preparation of VAT / Sales Tax returns and P11D for all companies.
- Preparation of data and complete the statistics returns for government bodies.
- Oversee the payroll process and ensure that monthly / weekly payroll run is properly performed in a timely manner.
- Complete the monthly reconciliation between payroll record and general ledger.
- Liaise with Commercial / Sales team to support tenders/pricing activities.
- Provide advice to the operation teams on finance-related decisions.
- Supporting Group Financial Controller in developing and managing financial systems/policies.
- Visit regional offices to audit systems and provide training programmes to the staff.
- Other ad-hoc projects and support requested by the Managers and Directors.
- Stay abreast of new statutory regulations and ensure that all companies comply with legal and tax regulations.
About You:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA CIMA ACA or equivalent).
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience in a similar role with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to maintain strictest level of confidentiality.
