Job Description

Experienced Contract Management Specialist

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) team as an Experienced Contract Management Specialist supporting the Strategic Missile and Defense Systems (SMDS): Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) portfolio in Ogden Utah or Mesa AZ.

Boeings SMDS organization helps protect and deter attacks to our nation warfighters and allies worldwide. Some of the key programs within SMDS include: the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systemthe land-based leg of the U.S. nuclear triad Boeing supports the Air Force and its efforts to modernize the nations ICBM force and Boeing operates and maintains of the Little Mountain Test Facility for the Air Force at Hill Air Force Base Utah which conducts key testing including radiation effects electromagnetic effects shock and vibration and other environmental testing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Submit offers and contractually commit the company within the extend of delegated authority

  • Review Statements of Work terms and conditions cost estimates and the determination of profit or earnings objectives

  • Support to emerging programs/campaigns and proposals

  • Review and approve agreements with outside parties

  • Perform and approve contractual risk assessments to balance risk and opportunities

  • Coach and mentor employees

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree or higher

  • 3 years of experience in business related function (including but not limited to: Finance Contracts Estimating Procurement Financial Analysis Business Operations Supplier Management Marketing & Sales)

  • 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience working with working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in cross functional teams

  • Experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)

  • Experience as a highly motivated self-starter and self-directed learner with a creative mind and high attention to detail

  • Ability to understand the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types (Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF) Time and Material (T&M) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) etc.) and their proper use

  • Ability to think critically problem solve negotiate communicate and use interpersonal skills

  • Ability to demonstrate presentation skills to senior managers and/or executives

This is not a Safety Sensitive Position.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
