Job Description:
Job duties
Plans promotes organizes and delivers new and existing statewide K-12 adult and family virtual programming.
Collaborates closely with other members of the Education and other NSHS teams including historic sites Visitor Services IT and Exhibits to create and execute programming and events.
Prepares surveys and metrics to report on program plans proposed budgets activity reports and attendance records.
Conducts accurate historical research projects.
Collaborates on creating and conducting onsite programming.
Coordinates with other agency staff to complete projects and meet agency goals and objectives.
Other duties as assigned including but not limited to helping other departments participating in interdepartmental committees and working groups and participating in community outreach events.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in History or related field such as: Education Museum Studies Geography or Anthropology AND two years of experience in museum curatorial work providing educational programming or providing interpretive tours.
Preferred Qualifications: Education history or public history background and familiarity with state and/or national education standards.
Other: This position requires travel. As such the incumbent must be able to present a valid drivers license or another form of reliable transportation. Regular and reliable attendance is required.

- Familiar with digital learning platforms video communications software and basic graphic design.
- Familiar with inquiry-based learning and programming.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Technological savvy and curiosity.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events and workshops.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends for events and programming on occasion.
- Enthusiastically committed to the organizations core values and demonstrates them regularly in their work.
