Collections Recovery Specialist
Shepherd Outsourcing is a financial services company specializing in third party debt collections. We are seeking self-driven goal-oriented individuals in Greenville SC and surroundingareas to join our dynamic in-office team environment. Job Summary:
As a Recovery Specialist youll be responsible for collecting outstanding account balances from our existing client base. Your role will include resolving billing issues reducing delinquent accounts and maintaining compliance standards. This position rewards high performance with monthly commission opportunities and is directly supported by a team leader.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM EST
Location: In-office Greenville SC
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Make outbound and receive inbound calls to collect on past-due debts
- Achieve and exceed month production and KPI goals
- Maintain accurate and detailed account notes
- Deliver a positive and compliant customer experience
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous collection or call center experience preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Quick learner with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent negotiation active listening and communication abilities
- Able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer proficiency
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to collect and interpret data define problems and develop solutions
- Strong knowledge in areas of responsibility
Physical Requirements - While performing the duties of this job employees are regularly required to:
- Sit for extended periods
- Use hands to type handle documents or operate office equipment
- Communication clearly via phone and in person
- Use close vision peripheral vision depth perception and adjust focus
