(1)Classroom Teacher AideSLCLocation: George Washington Elementary
This is a 7-hour day-1330 hours per year position and will be paid as per salary schedule. Persons applying for this position must have a minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate; they must have or be willing to obtain a State of Ohio Department of Education Teacher Aide Permit along with the Highly Qualified Requirement of the No Child Left Behind (ESEA). Teacher Aide experience would be helpful.

Teacher Aide 1330 Hours (190 days @ 7 Hrs.) Effective July 1 2025 through June 302026
JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE:Classroom Aide -SLC
RESPONSIBLE TO:Building Administrator/Classroom Teacher/Director of Student Services DEPARTMENT: Aides
CLASSIFICATION:Pre-K/SLC Aides
LENGTH OF CONTRACT:Nine-month contract - 190 days at 7 hours per day total of 1330 hours per year
GENERAL DUTIES:The Specialized Learning Center (SLC) Aide will provide support and assistance to teachers and students in an educational setting with a focus on working with students with special needs. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills patience and a passion for working with students of all abilities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with disabilities and contribute to their academic and personal growth.

The aide shall hold an Ohio Educational Aide permit as defined in section 3319.088 ORC.
