Responsibilities
MV Transportation is seeking an experienced transit Operations Manager to provide leadership strategic direction and operational oversight for our transportation contract. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent high-quality service delivery in accordance with contractual obligations company policies and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of operational excellence team leadership and a strong customer-focused approach to help achieve performance goals and enhance overall service efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure on-time performance and sufficient driver availability.
- Manage all call center functions to support service quality and responsiveness.
- Foster strong customer relationships through direct engagement and proactive outreach.
- Recruit train and mentor operations staff to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with staff and support teams.
- Support safety and training initiatives to maintain compliance with all contractual and regulatory standards.
- Promote and contribute to a strong safety culture within the division.
- Maintain regular client communication to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
- Assist with internal audits and operational reviews.
- Monitor and analyze key operational metrics on a daily weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Participate in employee relations and labor activities as needed.
Qualifications
Talent Requirements:
- One (1) to three (3) years of transit management experience in a fixed route or similar operational environment.
- Experience in staff scheduling personnel management and employee training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently.
- Working knowledge of contractual obligations and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with company policies to ensure consistent performance evaluations and driver management.
- Experience with Novus a Trapeze software is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage in a high-paced dynamic environment.
Starting salary range: $95000 - $108160
