Outdoor Living Design Drafter Full-Time In-Office Position
Location: Kennesaw GA

Description:
DC Enclosures Inc. is Georgias trusted builder of custom sunrooms screen enclosures patio covers and pool cages. Were looking for a talented and motivated Outdoor Living Design Drafter to join our in-office team and help bring our customers dream outdoor spaces to life.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled drafter with a passion for exterior residential construction and a strong understanding of the permitting process. Youll work alongside a collaborative team and play a direct role in transforming initial ideas into reality.
Responsibilities:
- Support 4 Project Managers with CAD drawings based on field measurements and site sketches
- Assist Design Consultants by creating concepts for sales presentations and customer sign-off
- Draft layout plans site plans and full permit packages (including building permits and ACC/HOA submittals)
- Convert measurements and field sketches into accurate AutoCAD/SoftPlan drawings
- Produce quick revisions and updates as requested by customers or municipalities
- Present and review 3D SoftPlan models with customers in person when needed
- Ensure all drawings meet applicable building codes and company standards
- Maintain organized construction documents and update project files regularly
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in residential construction (focus on exterior layouts)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SoftPlan (including 3D modeling)
- Experience preparing and submitting building permits and HOA applications
- Strong understanding of residential additions construction methods and building codes
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Fluent in English; clear verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Reliable transportation required
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
Compensation:
$25.00 $30.00 per hour based on experience
