Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Claims Consultant. In this role you will be responsible for reporting managing and resolving middle-market to large commercial client claims. You will be required to work with clients adjusters defense attorneys and outside consultants to help resolve claims.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate new and existing claims for designated commercial clients.
Provide recommendations or guidance to the Client Advisor and/or service team members on claims for clients.
Provide recommendations or guidance to other Center of Influence on claims for clients.
Report all new and manage existing open P&C claims. Duties may include reporting the loss to the carrier or working with a 3rd party partner to report the loss document all activity in EPIC maintain ongoing contact with the insurance adjuster client contact(s) defense attorney and others involved in the claim for as long as the claim is open.
Assist as needed to resolve coverage questions identify and report frequency or severity trends and coordinate with the risk resources team to integrate risk management techniques to help the client decrease the number and the severity of claims to reduce the future insurance costs of the client.
Operate in a courteous and professional manner with all others (within and outside Acrisure) to resolve claim related issues and coverage related concerns.
Advise on unusual complex or high value new losses or coverage disputes on new losses and provide updates/reports as needed.
Conduct regular and timely follow-up contact with adjusters the client contact(s) and others defending the claim or in response to requests e on specific claims or for specific clients
Regularly review (at least monthly) and monitor all open claims on assigned clients losses and maintain a record of the status and related data on all claims until the claim is resolved.
Visit clients as requested or agreed upon with the client Client Advisor Account Executive and/or service team.
Receive distribute and/or attach in EPIC all claims related mail emails phone contacts and client stewardship reports and inform the Client Advisor and/or service team when necessary
In the event of notice of a new claim review each account policy information to confirm coverage policy limits and notify of potential coverage shortfalls to the Client Advisors and/or Account Executive and agree upon notification method to the client
Work with carriers and clients to see to it that all claims are resolved promptly and fairly
Develop and foster good working relationships with adjusters and clients by responding within one (1) business day to all email or phone inquiries anticipating needs and expressing gratitude for their help cooperation and time.
Perform claim reviews and prepare stewardship reports for assigned clients on a schedule agreed upon with the client and maintaining documentation in EPIC.
Support the mission and vision of the enterprise as a whole and specifically of the Claim and Risk Management Team.
Adhere to all policies procedures and workflow processes.
Other activities or tasks as requested.
Requirements:
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications including Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates excellent time management and prioritization skills
Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy
The ability to multitask prioritize work independently and use discretion surrounding sensitive information
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
Ability to actively listen to respond to questions concerns or implement a solution
Education/Experience:
High school diploma college education preferred
Five (5) years of experience in P&C insurance preferred
Three (3) years in brokerage preferred not required
Three (3) years or more of claims management experiences.
Three (3) years or more customer-oriented service experience
P&C license required or the ability to obtain P&C license within six (6) months of date of hire.
The base salary range for this position is $100000 - $165000annually. This range reflects Acrisures good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skills experience qualifications location and internal equity.
