Job Description:
This position is responsible for planning designing developing delivering and evaluating comprehensive training programs to support the adoption and optimization of integrated information systems and associated Revenue Cycle. These systems are crucial for advancing revenue cycle performance clinical practices administrative operations and management outcomes. Leveraging deep expertise in operational best practices application knowledge and educational methods this role ensures consistent effective operational processes and provides robust support for all current and future applications including software upgrades. Responsibilities include end-to-end assessment planning design implementation and evaluation of training initiatives. Additionally this position will contribute to the analysis and refinement of existing workflows collaborates with operational leaders to define future state application workflows and drive the alignment of training activities with organizational goals and outcomes.
This position will collaborate with management and the IT Principal Trainer to design plan and deliver appropriate training programs across the Revenue Cycle functions. This position will collaborate in close proximity to Revenue Cycle leadership Access Training & Development and front line clinical management to identify departmental inefficiencies through KPI collection and reporting the creation and completion of system based reporting tools and post-service patient audit interviews. The trainer This position leads by example by completing operational tasks alongside department associates while also contributing to and assisting with system implementations and upgrades. Identifies or is assigned to conduct root cause analysis serving acting as an operational liaison with IT to help discover a system resolution. Utilizes application knowledge to facilitate all elements of training continuing education and system updates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Licensure:
Bachelors degree in a Healthcare related field or 5 to 7 years experience in Patient Access or Medical Office Administration/Insurance billing is required.
Knowledge of Patient Access includes but is not limited to Preregistration Precertification Scheduling Registration Collection and Patient Customer Service is required.
Knowledge of Epic software is required.
Quality assurance experience is preferred.
Knowledge of information systems and healthcare applications is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology patient billing collection policies & procedures guidelines and/or standards. Proficiency personal computers and computer software programs including but not limited to Windows Excel Power Point and Word
Ability to work with minimum supervision analyzing data performing multiple tasks and working independently.
Excellent communication skills oral and written skills.
Ability to develop and maintain professional service-oriented working relationships with patients families physicians nurses co-workers supervisors and others.
Ability to work collaboratively with a high-performance team of professionals in partnership toward common objectives
