You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailLeads business operations for ACDHH reporting to the Executive Director and collaborating with agency leadership to ensure alignment accountability and transparency.
Strengthens the agencys ability to serve Deaf Hard of Hearing DeafBlind individuals or those with combined vision and hearing loss or speech disabilities as well as ASL interpreters families and broader communities through public and private partnerships.
Ensures operations are aligned with the agencys mission of delivering meaningful access and services.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
Executive Leadership & Strategy: Monitor and analyze the agency budget to support planning resource allocation and informed decision making. Develop and support long-range operational and financial planning aligned with agency priorities and informed by data. Direct operational analysis including financial and workforce data to forecast revenue assess financial trends and guide resource planning that informs agency leadership aligns with strategic goals and supports stakeholders.
Business Operations Oversight: Oversee financial processes including budgeting procurement contracts and fiscal reporting to ensure processes are efficient legally compliant and aligned with agency priorities. Execute internal controls within daily operations to uphold fiscal integrity strengthen resilience and reinforce accountability across operational activities. Address complex or sensitive operational issues in alignment with agency policies and values.
Team Leadership & Development: Supervise the business operations team promote a culture of accountability and integrity and provide coaching and performance development through mentoring and regular appraisals. Maintain operational procedures and workflow standards that support consistency efficiency and continuous improvement.
Compliance Auditing & Fiscal Accountability: Ensure operations meet applicable financial procurement and accountability standards. Maintain readiness for internal and external audits proactively address findings or areas of risk and respond to inquiries as required. Review develop and refine internal operational policies to ensure consistency with statutory requirements and agency priorities.
Knowledge of:
Budget development and management financial reporting and procurement processes
Human resources coordination accounting payroll and related administrative systems
Organizational roles and leadership structures in public agencies with the ability to work effectively in a supportive and advisory capacity
Compliance with financial contractual and operational standards
IT systems and tools that support business operations
Core functions and programs of ACDHH or the willingness to learn and adapt quickly to agency-specific responsibilities
Programs services and assistive technologies used by individuals who are Deaf Hard of Hearing DeafBlind or those who have combined vision and hearing loss or speech disabilities
Skills in:
Leading operational improvements and using data to inform planning and workflow consistency
Communicating technical and financial topics clearly to diverse audiences
Coaching and developing staff in a collaborative environment
Building and maintaining strategic relationships with internal teams state agencies and external partners
Navigating and interpreting financial procurement and HR policies and procedures across sectors
Managing multiple complex projects and deadlines across functional areas
Facilitating cross-functional planning and execution across the public and private sectors
Abilities:
Supervise and support staff in both in-office and remote work environments
Balance long-term strategic planning with day-to-day operational management
Maintain focus and productivity while managing multiple priorities and due dates
Communicate and collaborate across functions teams and external partners
Adapt to evolving agency needs systems and technologies
Use American Sign Language (ASL) or actively pursue effective communication in ASL and support the cultural and linguistic aspects of Deaf Hard of Hearing and DeafBlind communities
Masters degree in public administration business human services or a related field
Bachelors degree in business public administration human services or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
At least five years of progressively responsible experience in leading organizational operational or administrative functions
Demonstrated experience supervising staff in operational administrative or service-focused settings across public or private sectors
