Senior Systems Engineer
Location:Bristol (hybrid working) Clearance:SC (or eligible to obtain)
Sector:Defence
Salary: 45-65k excellent benefits
Are you a senior systems engineering expert looking to take the lead on some of the UKs most complex and high-impact defence projects
A well-established consultancy thats partnered with major defence customers to deliver big results on critical programmes are recruiting aSenior Systems Engineer. Someone who can handle complex technical exciting and challenging projects from day one.
The Role:
As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be playing a pivotal role on key programmes and act as the systems engineering expert to provide consultation to design develop and integrate complex systems and technologies.
This position would suit a Systems Engineer with broad expertise across the Systems Engineering lifecycle but may have a specialism within Systems Design Systems Architecture Requirements Management Integration or Testing.
What Youll Bring:
Youll have demonstrable experience as a Systems Engineer ideally within the Defence sector or working directly with MOD. You will have working knowledge and experience in the following areas;
- Full systems engineering lifecycle (V-Model) (MBSE Requirements Management Testing & Integration)
- Working with cross-functional teams on systems designs and ensuring the designs meet customer requirements
- Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools to create models simulations and documentation
- Stakeholder engagement and management and capture user needs to define requirements. This role will work closely with stakeholders to understand needs and incorporate feedback into system designs
- Awareness of operational environments including understanding the challenges and impacts of environmental challenges (geography climate media cyber etc)
- Create user and system level requirements with clarity
- Create maintain and manage documentation throughout the project
- Some awareness of sub-systems or systems of systems and the integration of sub-systems into high performance systems
It is also essential for candidates to be eligible for UK security clearance.
