Job Description
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to meet the growing demand for cardiology services Crown Point IN. The Nurse Practitioner would thrive in a fast-paced environment and be team oriented. Provider will need to work collaboratively with physician to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. The Nurse Practitioner will also have a desire to develop strong ties with patients and the community in which they serve.
WHAT WE NEED:
Ideal candidate will have strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional desire to develop strong ties with patients the community in which they serve and existing medical staff. Provider will need to work collaboratively with physician to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Pre-procedure assessment including history and physicals
Reassessment for moderate sedation
Management of cath site/post-procedure issues
Initiating emergency measures
Patient education / informed consent
Post-procedure rounding/visits
Writing discharge orders/summaries
Discharge planning
Develop and implementing individualized plan of care for all assigned patients
Consistently evaluate the effectiveness of care provided to the patient
Communicate to Physicians their assessment through surveillance exams injuries treatment and procedures as deemed necessary
Perform interventions to meet holistic needs of patient under the direction of the Medical Director and under the leadership of the Client Resource Manager

Qualifications:
Masters Degree Required
Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) - Required - or
Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - Required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
