Work Study - A&S Office Support Staff

College of Arts and Sciences Deans Office
Job location: UW campus Arts and Sciences Building Room 114.
Pay rate or range: $15.00 / hour
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide main office staff support in Arts & Sciences Deans Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interact with students faculty and staff as needed.
Perform basic reception duties: errands answer the telephone take messages transfer calls answer standard questions and direct visitors to the appropriate source.
Operate shredder photocopier and associated office machines.
Sort mail and assist with mailing projects.
Assist with scheduling basic meetings and room/equipment arrangements for meetings or special events.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces in the office
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum education - High School graduate.
Experience: Computer experience experience with maintaining a consistent schedule experience with adapting between various systems and projects attention to detail.
Other requirements:Must be eligible have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Microsoft Office software computer experience phone experience experience with maintaining a consistent schedule experience with adapting between various systems and project attention to detail. Must be a reliable and cooperative individual. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Desired skills: familiarity with Word and Excel; ability to alphabetize; organizational skills; phone skills.
