School Counsellor K-12
Beginning September 2 2025
St. Maurice School located at 1639 Pembina Highway in Winnipeg is the largest Catholic school in the province of Manitoba. The successful candidate will:
hold a valid and subsistent Manitoba Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate with teaching experience in some grades/subjects in K-12
have completed specific post-secondary education in the area of School Counselling towards the Manitoba School Counsellor Certificate a PBDE in Counselling or equivalent from another jurisdiction.
have experience and/or specific training related to Counselling in a school setting. The successful candidate will have the personal skills to effectively relate with students and parents and be proficient in consulting/collaborating with staff.
have experience in providing individual and group counselling to support mental wellness self-regulation and healthy interpersonal relationships
collaborate with teachers to deliver school counselling programs that promote a safe and caring school environment both individual students small groups and in large group settings
demonstrate a strong conviction to and active practice of the Catholic faith and have an educational philosophy that is in keeping with the philosophy and values of Catholic education.
