NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children young people families and older people through our community-based services and health centres. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the persons needs.

This position is dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for individuals with co-occurring intellectual disability and mental health (IDMH) conditions across the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD). Through specialist support for consumers and their families or carers and collaborative consultation with NSW Health professionals NDIS providers and community-managed organisations youll help ensure timely transitions from hospital to quality community-based care.
Beyond direct clinical work this role champions education and capacity building raising the visibility of IDMH consumers by enhancing the knowledge and skills of mental health staff throughout NBMLHD. Youll be a vital force in shaping inclusive care and strengthening support systems that foster long-term wellbeing.
