Job Description:
Provides nursing care for patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. The LPN assists in the implementation of the delivery of health care services assists fellow employees in providing the highest quality personalized patient care and maintains a positive work relationship with the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing with active licensure with the
State of Ohio Board of Nursing includes Sub-Category MEDS-IV.
a. If hired prior to 2/1/2024 a subclass of MEDS-IV is not needed unless moving into department requiring inpatient acute care.
2. Must be willing to rotate shifts and units.
3. Obtain and maintain active certification from the American Heart Association Health Care
Provider BLS required. Will accept at time of hire only American Red Cross CPR for
Professional Rescuers.
4. Physical requirements:
a. visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable;
b. ability to hear (with or without aides)
c. ability to orally communicate
d. good manual dexterity
e. ability to push pull roll and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally
f. ability to stand walk frequently
g. ability to bend reach stoop kneel frequently; and
h. ability to perform CPR.
