Job Description
RN - Labor and Delivery Contract Role
Job Details:
- Location: Cambridge MA 02138
- Duration: 13 week
- Shift: 12-hour shifts Nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Pay Rate: $2520 - $2664
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients during labor delivery and immediate postpartum periods.
- Monitor vital signs fetal heart tones and the progression of labor.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
- Administer medications and IV therapy as ordered.
- Educate mothers and families about the birthing process and newborn care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure best outcomes for mothers and infants.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and perform interventions as required.
- Support breastfeeding and maternal bonding practices.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing experience required.
- Previous travel experience required.
Education & Certifications:
- BSN Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Required)
- Active RN License State of Massachusetts (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (Required)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (Required)
