Job Description

Lead Installation Technician (BAS CONTROLS) – Bozeman Area

We are partnering with a rapidly growing Montana-based company that is expanding across the state. Our client is seeking a skilled Lead Installation Technician to join their exceptional team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a people-oriented professional environment with a dependable full-time year-round position. Job Role:

  • Install and wire BAS controllers and field devices while supervising the installation of building automation systems as you grow your team in your area.
  • Install and terminate low voltage cables.
  • Work independently and coordinate job installation and completion with the client’s personnel contractors and subcontractors.
  • Maintain an efficient safe and organized job site.
  • Attend product training to develop maintain and enhance expertise in building systems and controls.
  • Assist with job commissioning start-up procedures and owner training as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the BAS/controls industry.
  • Proficient in bending and installing conduit up to 1" in diameter.
  • Ability to organize and direct co-workers.
  • Ability to work well with building owners contractors and vendors.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Shows pride in workmanship.
  • Previous experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems is required.
  • Experience in the building automation controls industry.
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.
  • Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical and communication skills.
  • Availability to work overtime varied shifts and out-of-town as needed.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check.
  • Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
