Mission & Authority
To directly oversee the operations of several departments which provide mission services and facilitate effective functioning of the entire operations segment of Young Life.
YL College Staff Associate
Summary:Through both formal training and field ministry experience learn to provide college and university students the opportunity to meet Jesus Christ grow in their relationship with Him and use their talents to serve Jesus in this world.
Essential Duties:
Spiritual Development Following Jesus includes prayer and spiritual disciplines fellowship growth and health and church relationships.
Leadership Development Equipping leaders committee and staff includes key volunteer care recruiting team building and training supervision and vision casting.
Resource Development Fueling the ministry includes events major donor care public relations (branding) and TDS team.
Direct Ministry Proclaiming and discipling includes contact work club Campaigners-i.e. small group ministry camp.
Ministry Support Taking care of business includes accounting administration communication (internal) data management and strategic plan.

Youll have the opportunity to lead empower and grow a team of volunteers and staff. In our area we have 4 full-time staff 13 student staff and over 40 college aged leaders at each school. Depending on the candidate will determine your position title and which university you will be working at. 90% of this job is uninterrupted time with college students in THEIR world: outreach discipleship and vision casting. If that is your passion this is the job for you! On top of this opportunity comes the luxury of living in the most diverse city and fourth largest city in America. Responsibilities:
- Embody a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Be Holy Spirit-led servant leader and vision caster.
- A servant leader who is teachable innovative collaborative and flexible.
- Love and pursue students on campus daily.
- Establish a presence among the student body.
- Demonstrate spiritual leadership on a personal and corporate level.
- Passionate about taking students through scripture in various settings.
- Lead a team of staff and volunteers.
- Lead effective clubs small groups and events.
- Implement ongoing plans and opportunities to maximize Gospel proclamation.
- Participation and leadership in area regional and national staff events and training.
- Develop and achieve fundraising goal of $30000 and grow this number annually
- Recruit develop and sustain diverse student leaders.
- Ability to build train recruit and grow teams of people (student leaders adult leaders and committee members).
Qualifications:
- College degree.
- Proven relational skills with both college students and adults.
- A call to reach students with the Gospel.
- Ability to raise financial support for the mission.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong servant leadership skills and experience in developing people.
- Strong initiative and vision.
