Job Description
The Domains organization at Squarespace builds and maintains a platform that enables millions of users to register purchase and manage custom domains with ease and reliability. Our work sits at the intersection of user experience infrastructure and third-party integrations ensuring that customers can trust Squarespace as the foundation of their online identity.
Were looking for a Senior or Lead Test Engineer to enhance the quality reliability and testability of our systems. Youll work with engineers product managers and designers to create test strategies write automated tests and identify quality risks before they reach customers.
This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
Youll Get To
- Collaborate with product and engineers to develop test plans early in the product development process
- Create automated integration and end-to-end tests working with engineers to ensure testing across the stack
- Guide quality-related projects and advocate for best practices in test architecture observability and defect prevention.
- Mentor engineers and help establish a quality-first culture within your team
Who Were Looking For
- 6 years of experience in software quality engineering or SDET roles with a track record in test automation and strategy.
- Proficiency in test frameworks such as Jest Cypress Playwright Selenium or similar.
- Programming skills in a language such as JavaScript Python or Java.
- Familiarity with testing third-party integrations asynchronous systems and distributed environments.
- Experience mentoring other engineers and influencing quality standards at the team or organizational level.

Cash Compensation Range: $100000 - $161000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills experience and location among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and where applicable for eligible roles may include on-target commissions or overtime pay) Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
